Delfí Sanahuja has just received the Best Oenologist of the Year award given by the Catalan Sommeliers Association.
Born in Valls (Tarragona), Delfí Sanahuja is the chief oenologist for Perelada’s still wines since 1998: “This is a personal prize, but I got it thanks to all the people that work in Perelada. An oenologist alone can’t do much. This is an award that we wouldn’t have been able to obtain without the hard work of the whole staff, from the vineyards team to the office workers. It’s also very important that the cellar has bet on making high quality wines and has given me the freedom to research and create”.
Sanahuja got the trophy during the Sommelier Night, held in Barcelona last June 29th. About sixty professionals and members of the Catalan Sommeliers Association attended the event.
