Domaine Philippe Gilbert
Domaine Philippe Gilbert is een familiebedrijf met een rijke geschiedenis die teruggaat tot 1768, toen François Gilbert zijn herberg inruilde voor het beheer van de wijngaard van zijn stiefvader. Het huidige domein is opgebouwd door Philippe Gilbert, de overgrootvader van de huidige eigenaar, en bevindt zich in het hart van de Menetou Salonappellation in de Loire. Deze regio, grenzend aan Sancerre, omvat slechts 1160 hectare en staat bekend om zijn witte wijnen van de Sauvignon druif en rode wijnen van de Pinot Noir druif. Deze wijnen zijn een pure expressie van de klei-kalksteen-bodem van het gebied.
